A protomorph in One Million Minds is
a primitive figure based on the human form, symbolising
the character derived from interpreting someones answers.
One Million Minds is an artists view of those answers
in order to produce a rounded form as a Mindscape. It
is necessarily not about the exact analysis of someones
character but the artists idea of someone who has answered
certain questions, and therefore attempts to create
a well rounded form within those specified boundaries.
While One Million Minds are still being created, prints
are available of your Mindscapes. Among them the Giclée
print (not available yet) will be the latest in digital
fine-art printing, and the Canvas print, a digital print
on a traditional surface.
Micromind
And wanting to make a small print or object available
for the "real world" at a low price, their
is the Micromind. Your Mindscape is printed on one side,
with your name and Mind Number on the other, making
it a uniquely portable and affordable art object. The
shear quantity of cards in this format in existance
today (library cards, gift cards, store cards, credit
cards, id cards etc.) makes this a perfect mass medium
for image based art in a global market world.
Several other objects are planned on completion of One
Million Minds comprising the entire series of One Million
Minds.

The
Mind Machine
The Mind Machine will be a large protomorph
with a screen at head height and all the one million
sets of answers installed on a small computer housed
inside the protomorph shell, along with the software
Tamor Kriwaczek created for One Million Minds. The
Mind Machine will then display the creation of each
Mindscape one after the other, recreating the the
development of One Million Minds and the symbolic
act of artistic creation in front of your eyes -
this is how One Million Minds was made. |

The Million Mind Protomorph
The Million Mind Protomorph will house all one million
Mindscapes, displaying on a screen each one in turn
for a short time, making a unique record of an artists
view of the world in the early 21st century through
the conduit of one million different perceptions
of mind at that time. It's relatively small scale
will allow it to be displayed by anyone with enough
room on a bookshelf or table-top. |
Million Minds eBook & Million Minds Encyclopedia
Other ideas in development include the Million Minds eBook,
from the outside a book that fits on your bookshelf, but
which houses a PDA with a searchable display of the Mindscapes
allowing you to view and zoom in to each Mindscape showing
greater detail of the images and information about the
development and production of One Million Minds. And finally,
as an antidote to all the electronic digital production
of One Million Minds the Million Minds Encyclopedia will
be a limited edition encylopedia showing all one million
Mindscapes, with 8 Mindscapes per page and each volume
comprising 1000 pages it will be a tour de force of publishing
resulting in a set of 125 volumes as a permanent, non-electronic
record of One Million Minds. |
